Bryant – Overview, Products, and Resources

In business since 1904, Bryant Heating & Cooling has been helping families with heating and cooling for their home for over 100 years. Founded by Charles Bryant, the Bryant Heating & Cooling produces air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, geo-thermal heat pumps, boilers and more. UTC became Bryant’s parent company in 1955 (UTC also is the parent company of Carrier). Throughout this page, you will find an overview of the main product lines and series that Bryant manufactures.

Bryant Products

Bryant Air Conditioners

Bryant air conditioners are produced in 3 series – Evolution® Series, Preferred™ Series, and the Legacy™ Line. Each air conditioner series is meant to fit a particular price range.

Bryant Evolution® Series – Air Conditioners

Bryant’s high end air conditioner series is their Evolution® Series, with a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating available up to 21 and a Sound Rating as low as 56. With the Evolution® Series, units are manufactured as 1-stage, 2-stage, or variable speed units. With a model from the Evolution® Series, an owner can also take advantage of Bryant’s MyEvolution app, and control their unit from anywhere with an internet connection. There are currently 6 units available in the Bryant Evolution® Series.

Bryant Preferred™ Series – Air Conditioners

Bryant’s middle tier air conditioner series of units is called the Preferred™ Series, with a top SEER rating available up to 17 and a Sound Rating as low as 66. These models can come with compressor types of 1-stage or 2-stage. Depending on your location, some of Bryant’s compact models may not be eligible for installation in regions of the Southeast and Southwest based on Department of Energy minimum efficiency standards. There are currently 5 units in this series.

Bryant Legacy™ Line – Air Conditioners

Bryant’s value priced series of air conditioners, the Bryant Legacy™ Line can reach a SEER rating of 16.5 and a Sound Rating as low as 72. With this line of units, there you can only get a 1-stage compressor unit. Like the Preferred™ Series, some units may not be eligible for installation in certain regions, as they do not meet Department of Energy minimum efficiency standards. Like the Evolution® Series, six units are offered in this series.

Bryant Heat Pumps

Bryant’s heat pumps are also produced in the same 3 series as their air conditioners – Evolution® Series, Preferred™ Series, and the Legacy™ Line. Each heat pump series is meant to fit a particular price range.

Bryant Evolution® Series – Heat Pumps

Bryant’s high end heat pump series is their Evolution® Series, with a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating available up to 20.5 and a HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) up to 13.5. With the Evolution® Series, units are manufactured as 2-stage or variable speed units. With a model from the Evolution® Series, an owner can also take advantage of Bryant’s Evolution Connex™ Control, and control their unit from anywhere with an internet connection. There are currently 4 units available in the Bryant Evolution® Series.

Bryant Preferred™ Series – Heat Pumps

Bryant’s middle tier air conditioner series of units is called the Preferred™ Series, with a top SEER rating available up to 17.5 and a HSPF up to 9.5. These models can come with compressor types of 1-stage or 2-stage. There are currently 4 units in this series.

Bryant Legacy™ Line – Heat Pumps

Bryant’s value priced series of air conditioners, the Bryant Legacy™ Line can reach a SEER rating of 15 and a HSPF of 8.5. With this line of units, there you can only get a Single-Stage compressor unit. Three units are offered in this series.

Bryant Furnaces

Bryant manufactures both Gas and Oil Furnaces. In the gas furnace models, Bryant produces 3 series and 20 different units. In the oil furnace models, Bryant produces 2 series and 7 different units.

Bryant Evolution® Series – Gas Furnaces

Bryant’s top end gas furnace series is their Evolution® Series, with a AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) rating available up to 98.3%. With the Evolution® Series, units are manufactured with 2-stage or Modulating gas valves. With a model from the Evolution® Series, an owner can also take advantage of Bryant’s Perfect Heat® Plus technology. There are currently 5 gas furnace units available in the Bryant Evolution® Series of.

Bryant Preferred™ Series – Gas Furnaces

Bryant’s average priced gas furnace air series of units is called the Preferred™ Series, with a AFUE rating available up to 96.5%. These models can come with gas valve types of 1-stage or 2-stage. There are currently 7 units in this series.

Bryant Legacy™ Line – Gas Furnaces

Bryant’s value priced gas furnace air series of units is called the Bryant Legacy™ Line, with a AFUE rating available up to 95%. These models only come with gas valve types of 1-stage. There are currently 8 units in this series.

Bryant Preferred™ Series – Oil Furnaces

When it comes to oil furnaces, Bryant sticks to 2 series. Bryant’s top tier oil furnace series of units is called the Preferred™ Series, with a AFUE rating available up to 86.8%. One of the features of the Preferred™ Series units is that these models can create a HYBRID HEAT® dual fuel system for enhanced control over heating efficiencies by combining them with an appropriate Bryant Heat Pump. There are currently 3 units in this series.

Bryant Legacy™ Line – Oil Furnaces

Bryant’s value priced series of oil furnaces, the Bryant Legacy™ Line, has an available AFUE up to 86.6%. Four units are offered in this series.
