Frequently Asked HVAC Questions

Question:

Why does my Hygrometer Read a Different Humidity Level than the External Hygrometer?

Answer:

Most hygrometers are off by +/- 5% in their readings. Because of circulating air, not all parts of the room have the same humidity level. If you find that the humidity levels are greater 5%, your hygrometer may be broken.  **Do not place the unit near a heating vent or a radiator as the heat will absorb all of the moisture.
