Evaporative Cooling is just like it sounds, the process of cooling through the evaporation of water, and it is one of the most efficient ways to cool.  Heat is absorbed by moisture evaporation, drawing air from the outside into special pads that are soaked with water. The air is then cooled by evaporation and pushed into your home.
