The Honeywell HE200A1000 TrueEASE Basic Bypass Evaporative Humidifier is a great whole-home humidification solution that covers up to 2,500 square feet, and disperses up to 17 gallons of humidity per day into your home. The HE200A1000 TrueEASE humidifier will not only provide a solution to your dry air woes, but it is also an eco-friendly option that will conserve energy and water while doing so!
The basic bypass TrueEASE system will only run water and air through the system when humidity is needed, using up to 50% less water, and saving energy by eliminating the constant cycling of air.
The Honeywell TrueEASE HE200A1000 bypass unit mounts directly to the duct of your heating and cooling system, allowing the humidity to be placed directly into the airflow and distributed evenly throughout the home. The HE200A1000 can be mounted on the supply or return duct (plenum) and is easily reversible for right or left hand installation. To switch the bypass to make a left handed install, simply remove the bypass, flip it and snap back into place! Additionally, this model will hook up to a water line so you do not need to worry about filling it multiple times a day.
TrueEASE has a patented design with multiple snap-into-place configuration options, making installation a breeze. No longer will pipes, small compact spaces, water heaters or any other obstacles will get in the way of installation!
The Honeywell TrueEASE whole-house bypass evaporative humidifier features the automatic HumidiPRO humidistat control to ensure comfortable humidity levels throughout the home. The HumidiPRO humidistat should be installed directly onto your heating and cooling system , preferably the return duct, if possible.
Maintenance: The only maintenance that needs to be done on the Honeywell HE200A1000 humidifier is the seasonal change of the Honeywell HC26E1004 Humidifier Pad. The humidifier pad can be easily accessed from the front or either side of the unit, and features a slide-out pad design, which means you won't have to disassemble the unit in order to change the pad.
Additionally, the TrueEASE HE200A1000 humidifier has user-friendly maintenance lights near the bottom of the unit. These lights will notify the homeowner when service is needed, when the humidifier pad needs to be changed, and when the system is operating normally to take all the guess work off of the homeowner's shoulders.

We replaced our entire heating/cooling system which also included replacing the humidifier. Since getting this new Honeywell unit we have experienced numerous issues. Lack of performance and not keeping up with the demand for comfortable humidity in our house. The unit was provided with a faulty control/solenoid valve that didn't work and had to be replaced within the first couple of weeks of operation. The unit leaks out of the bottom of the unit and we have to keep a bucket below to prevent water from running across the floor. The leaking is due to the incoming water spraying inside the unit which results in the not all of the water ending up in the drain trough that takes water through a hose to the basement drain. In my opinion this unit is poorly designed. We have had this unit in use for about 2 years and are strongly considering replacing with another brand.
