Those who solely humidify during the winter season will only need to change the water panel once per year.
*Important Note: The change rate also depends on the hardness of your water. If you live in an area with hard water you may need to change the P110-1045 water panel more than once a season.
The Honeywell P110-1045 water panel is sized at 9-1/2" x 9-3/4" x 1-1/2" to ensure proper fit and optimal performance.
What is a Water Panel?
A Humidifier Water Panel (sometimes referred to as a humidifier pad or humidifier filter) is the heart of your humidifier. It is made of layers of aluminum mesh with a porous, clay-like coating which allows the panel to soak up the water produced by the water distribution tray and turn it into humidity for your home. Without this porous material within the aluminum, the water would bead up on the metal and not be as effective at humidifying your home. As time goes on, the water starts to deteriorate the clay-like material and chunks begin to break off. Once you see signs of this wear, it is time for a change! Waiting to change your humidifier water panel after these signs can drastically effect the output of humidity your system produces!
