The Aprilaire 501 Air Filter, also called a furnace filter, is a great filter to remove pollutants from your home’s air! The Aprilaire 501 is a MERV 10, expandable, pleated filter, measuring 16″ x 27″ x 6″ that is specifically designed to replace the filter in the Aprilaire 5000 Air Cleaner. This MERV 10 rating means that it is a highly efficient filter – it can capture and remove 99% of mold, dust, pollen and pet dander, and 95% of tobacco smoke! The Aprilaire 501 furnace filter should be changed every 9 months, depending on the air quality of your home and the respiratory conditions of those who live there.

Benefits of the Aprilaire 501 Air Filter

The Aprilaire 501 expandable air filter works with Aprilaire whole home air cleaners to remove contaminants floating in your air. This MERV 10 filter has the power to efficiently remove common allergens and pollutants in the home, preventing allergy and asthma symptoms and improving respiratory health.

The Aprilaire 501 furnace filter also protects the condition of your home’s heating and cooling equipment. By removing contaminants from the air, the filter keeps harmful dust, dirt, and debris from settling on your HVAC system’s delicate components, and ensures your equipment receives adequate airflow to heat and cool your home effectively. With a clean air filter, you’ll experience better HVAC system performance, optimal energy efficiency, and fewer breakdowns of your heating and cooling systems.
